Over 160 people with learning disabilities or autism had their achievements celebrated at a special award ceremony in Titanic Belfast last week.
Oscar winner James Martin, who made headlines across the world for his performance in An Irish Goodbye, has been involved with Orchardville since leaving school and was the winnder of the Onanna Tuffy Endeavour Award. This recognises a participant who has shown true endeavour in all their actions and attitudes to work, development and personal motivation throughout the past year, showing that nothing can hold them back.
Jayne Galbraith was the winner of the Natasha Reaney award for Catering which recognises a participant who has excellent customer service skills and has progressed within catering. "Orchardville’s Annual Awards event has gone from strength to strength each year. The Awards recognise the progress and achievements of our participants in getting paid employment, completing qualifications and overcoming barriers to progression.
