'It has been fantastic to see the children thinking about different foods and cultures, and they have come up with some lovely drawings'
More than 2,000 primary school children were invited to take part in an exciting competition as part of the cultural festival.
#AmazingAccrington visited two schools to launch the competition – Accrington Peel Park Primary School and Hyndburn Park Primary School – with children asked to think about different foods and cultures from around the world before drawing their favourite cuisine. The incredible designs were displayed on the day of the Food & Culture Festival for members of the public to view. Prizes up for grabs in the competition include a family meal at The Crafty Fox for first place, while second place will win a Finch Bakery voucher, and third place will take home a voucher for Oswaldtwistle Mills.
“We have already seen some fantastic entries into our competition, and we can’t wait to see them displayed in the Market Hall on Saturday, June 3.”
