The development by Persimmon West Scotland will see the much-needed new homes built at Wellburn Farm, on land allocated for housing in South Lanarkshire Council’s local development plan.
A planning application for 224 new homes in Lesmahagow has been given the go-ahead by South Lanarkshire Council .

Other significant local benefits include funding for upgrades to McKirdy Park, a new roundabout and traffic calming measures on Strathaven Road and a landscaped entrance to the village.
It is estimated that the development will create around 40 local jobs each year in the construction sector, with a further 44 in services and other local firms.
