Helen Macdonald asks environment secretary to speak to her as animal is due to be put down for bovine TB
A farmer whose beloved stud alpaca faces the prospect of being shot on Friday after twice testing positive for bovine tuberculosis has appealed to the environment secretary,Helen Macdonald lost a final attempt in the high court last week to save her alpaca, Geronimo, from slaughter and a new warrant calling for him to be put down took effect from Thursday.
