Queen’s Park FC's victory over Rangers has put the club – who play their home games at Hampden Stadium and were founded in 1867 – into the Scottish Cup quarter-finals for the first time in more than 40 years.
The president of Scotland’s oldest football club has told how dreams really do come true after his team caused the greatest Scottish Cup upset ever.
“Even this morning, I ran out and bought all the papers just to be sure. I don’t know if it will ever sink in.” “The team came back to the social club at Lesser Hampden and the support was waiting for them outside. It was just a big party atmosphere.” Secretary of Queen’s Park Supporters Club, Keith McAllister, 67, was among those who headed to the team’s social club after the game.
