After real estate shows up and down the coast of California , France and Florida , it’s no surprise that Netflix is now heading to New York. “Owning Manhattan,” out June 28, follows a few real estate agents at Serhant, a real estate brokerage founded by CEO Ryan Serhant. Bravo watchers will recognize Serhant from his involvement in the ongoing 'Million Dollar Listing New York' and the one-season series 'Sell it Like Serhant,' out in 2018.
After a year listing rentals in Koreatown, Serhant was cast out of 3,000 applicants for 'Million Dollar Listing New York.' In an extensive interview with Primary Venture Partners, Serhant said the show helped launch his real estate career. His company has achieved billions in sales. 'It made my cold outreach a little easier,' he said of the Bravo show. 'People were like, 'Oh, if NBCUniversal trusts you to be one of the best in New York, then my place is a million bucks.
