Oxford United fought back to beat struggling Luton Town and stretch their unbeaten run in the Championship to seven games.

The Hatters, who have picked up one point from their past six league matches, broke the deadlock as Tom Krauss fired in an opener. The visitors restored their advantage at the Kassam Stadium inside a frantic opening half-hour through Mark McGuinness' towering header.

Luton, with Matt Bloomfield in charge for his second match, stay in the bottom three on goal difference and have now lost their past 12 away games in all competitions. It was another set-piece which led to Oxford's second equaliser on the hour mark as Brown found space in a crowded area to turn in Brannagan's corner.

"They're a little bit different in terms of what they do. They're very direct and they play off second balls. "That's not what we wanted to do. It's frustrating because there were some good elements but we've come away with nothing because we have to defend our box better. Luton Town have won each of their last two away league games against Oxford United and will be looking to win three in succession against them in the Football League for the first time.
