The Bee the Boss Program introduces children to what it is like to be an entrepreneur and to skillsets like financial literacy.
All In Credit Union is partnering with the organization for the program to introduce kids to entrepreneurship and financial literacy.OZARK, Ala. - At the Boys & Girls Club, while students are enjoying their summer, they are also getting a much-needed lesson on money management and entrepreneurship.”Several years ago, we got the idea to bring a young entrepreneurship program to our Boys & Girls Club,” Joseph Brackins, a business development officer with All In Credit Union, said.
The kids choose what product to sell. This year, they sold glasses to the public and chose what to do with their profit.”This year, the kids chose the Echo Fire Department and EMS. They are very thankful to give back, because the kids know that this is their community and they are helping out to do their part for the Ozark and Wiregrass area,” Tavia Reagan-Scott, the program director at the club, said.Kids like Emmanuel Lucas already know what they want to do with their share.
”I can save up money so I can go to surgeon college so I can be a surgeon,” 11-year-old Emmanuel said.”I definitely want to be an entrepreneur when I grow up.
