The top House Republican wants a legislative investigation into state and local law enforcement operations for the campaign event where former President Donald Trump was injured in an assassination attempt earlier this month.
Rep. Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster County, said he has introduced a resolution to form a six-member House Select Committee made up with an equal number of Democrats and Republicans, that would be “charged with probing how state and local law enforcement planned, responded and coordinated with federal agencies at the Trump campaign event on July 13.”
