On the morning of Jan. 6, Healion — who the Department of Justice said is an active member in the Philadelphia chapter of the Proud Boys — marched from the Washington Monument to the U.S. Capitol building at the orders of Proud Boys leader The group of Proud Boys members, including Healion — who concealed his face with a black face gaiter, trampled bike rack barriers as they continued toward the Capitol, the press release said. Once on the Capitol’s grounds, Healion moved to the front of the group and grabbed a bike rack from an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department.
In the days leading up to the insurrection, the DOJ noted Healion sent a message to other Proud Boys members — including— that said, “What time is the whole political/presidential situation happening that day? With pence and the electoral votes? And are we planning for either an unlikely joyous moment of pence growing balls?”
