A student told officials they saw a gun fall from the driver’s possession onto the floor.
A bus driver for the Hopewell School District in Beaver County has been suspended for having a gun on him while he was transporting students.
District superintendent Jeff Beltz said in a letter to parents that the unidentified driver was taking students to Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School and Midland Innovation and Technology Charter School on Thursday when a student saw a gun fall from the driver’s lap onto the floor. The student later reported the incident to school officials and the police were brought into the investigation.
