Researchers have revealed the items Brits find it hardest to leave the country without, with British teabags, biscuits, coffee, Marmite and slippers all making the list. Over a third of hygienic Brits insist on packing anti-bacterial spray, while pillows, tins of beans and your own pots and pans also emerged as things we hate to travel without.

Half of organised Brits love to pack a week before a holiday, however the most common things to forget include suncream, phone chargers, sunglasses), travel adaptors and toiletries. “It sounds simple, but making a list of everything you intend to take or sort pre-trip – paying particular attention to your passport if travelling abroad, along with tickets, travel money and insurance – can ensure that you’re well prepared and can spend more time relaxing on your getaway when it comes around.”
