Adam Beale pretended to be 17 when he was 22 after meeting his 'infatuated' 13-year-old victim online.
A ‘manipulative’ paedophile who duped a family into believing he was a teenager to groom their daughter has been jailed for eight years.
During the course of their 20-month ‘relationship’ the girl’s parents believed the pair were just friends and were ‘totally in the dark’ about Beale’s real age and intentions. Describing her ordeal and the impact it has had on her, she said: ‘He took away my innocence and exposed me to things I should not have been exposed to.‘He groomed me so well that I thought I was in love with him. I was a puppet and would do anything for him.
