THE Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) revealed on Monday that the water level of Angat Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan, the main source of water supply for Metro Manila and adjoining provinces, is dropping again.
Pagasa hydrologist Edgar dela Cruz told The Manila Times in an exclusive interview that while still higher than its rule curve elevation or minimum operating level of 182. 48 meters, Angat's current reservoir water level is 11.88m below its normal high water level of 210 to 212m.
07m as compared with its previous level of 191.34m while Binga Dam, also in Benguet, has an increase of 0.39m from its previous RWL of 571.26m.Also, water level in San Roque Dam in Pangasinan has current RWL of 254.59m compared to its previous level of 254.20m or a water level deviation at 0.39m; and Magat Dam in Isabela at 173.55m compared to the previous RWL of 172.61m.
