Three children aged 12, eight and five have died in hospital after a flat fire in Scotland

The fire began at an upstairs flat in Paisley, Renfrewshire, at around 9pm on Friday, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said. The children have been named as Fiona Gibson, 12, and her two brothers Alexander James, eight, and Philip, five.A 39-year-old woman, reported to be the children's mother, is also in a critical condition at Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital.Pictures from the scene showed the property with the upstairs windows smashed and walls blackened by ash.
