Emergency services rushed to Causeyside Street near Forbes Place following reports that a man had been 'attacked' at around 5.10 pm on Saturday, May 11.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where staff describe his condition as 'serious'. Officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch and assist with their enquiries. “The town centre would have been busy at the time of this assault. I urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
