Emergency services rushed to Tannahill Road in the Renfrewshire town last night, October 3, at around 6.57 pm after receiving reports of a building fire.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that three fire appliances were in attendance and stated the flames were visible 'for about two miles, from near Glasgow Airport.' A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.55pm on Tuesday, 3 October, police were called to a report of a building fire in Tannahill Road, Paisley.“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist should contact 101 with reference number 3369 of 3 October.”A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.57pm on Tuesday, 3 October, to reports of a fire within a building on Tannahill Road in Paisley.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and specialist resources to the scene to extinguish the fire affecting the ground floor of a derelict building.
