The schoolboy called emergency services before reaching into the flames at the Paisley home to get the beloved family pets out safe.
A teenage boy is said to have run into his grandparents burning home to save their dogs after noticing the blaze on his way home from school.
His mum Lisa Cummings shared the ordeal online and told how her elderly parents were on holiday at the time their home of 17 years caught fire. She said they have been left "completely broken" by the nightmare, reports the Daily Record. She wrote: "My mum and dad were away on holiday and my son came out of school to find their house ablaze.
Lisa went on to explain that her dad is due to retire this year, but the devastating blaze means he will need to continue working as the couple has lost all of their possessions. "They have always been the ones in the position to help other people financially and have always done whatever they can to help anyone in their hour of need, so they are really struggling to now be on the receiving end of that."
