Scotland’s premier celebration of Gaelic music and culture, Mòd Phàislig, returns to Paisley from October 13 to 21.
Venues throughout Paisley are gearing up to welcome the Royal National Mòd to the town next week by offering a chance for visitors and locals to experience the very best in live traditional and Gaelic music.
The programme includes acts such as Scottish-electronic duo Valtos, celtic folk fusion rock band Reely Jiggered and Scottish Folk band Fuaim to name a few. “If you think you know what Trad music is, you’re probably wrong. Come along and see what it’s like for yourself – it might surprise you.” The dedicated team of experienced journalists, responsible for the publication of the award-winning Express, will focus on breaking news, day and night, across Renfrewshire’s towns and villages.
Some of the acts confirmed for the Mòd Festival Club include folk band The Canny Band, Joy Dunlop Trio, Robert Nairn and Phais Paisley Trio. “Paisley is already proving a fantastic host for the Mòd, showing outstanding hospitality in the lead-up to the event, and we’re looking forward to being back after ten years and seeing pubs and venues brimming with live music this October.”
