Malacañang on Sunday urged the public to support Sara Duterte-Carpio who will take her oath as the 15th vice president of the Philippines.In a statement, acting Palace spokesman Martin Andanar reiterated President Rodrigo Duterte's call for the public to support newly elected leaders.
'We are one with the whole Filipino nation in witnessing with excitement the inauguration ceremony of outgoing Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio as the 15th Vice President of the Philippines,' Andanar said.'We once again express our deep gratitude to the Filipino people for the trust and support they have given to the Vice President-elect,' he added.Duterte-Carpio's inauguration will be held in Davao City, her family's bailiwick, where she served as mayor.
