Palestinian supporters gathered at Austin 's City Hall Tuesday evening to call for an end to the Israel -Hamas war."Since the current ceasefire resolution is not going to pass, we are gonna be here today demanding a different kind of ceasefire resolution," said one demonstrator.
"I think City Officials need to take into account that people overwhelmingly support a ceasefire, overwhelmingly support Palestinian liberation," said Palestinian Youth Movement organizer, Hanza Tantau. "The First Amendment protects our right to protest, especially when it's a peaceful protest-- I'm not a religious person, but as a human, my humanity forces me to be here," said protestor, Amer Arab."Stand for liberation, stand for what's right and against this genocide, and if you're watching at home and you support us, we appreciate you but we want you out here," said Tantau.
