SAN ANTONIO - On Tuesday, Palo Alto College broke ground on a new Natatorium, Wellness, and Multigenerational Center. The new 51.7 million dollar project will bring a 90,334-square-foot facility to the college, offering fitness spaces, indoor aquatics, educational classrooms, and indoor basketball and volleyball facilities.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating the much anticipated groundbreaking of our Natatorium, Wellness & Multigenerational Center,” said Dr. Robert Garza, President of Palo Alto College. “This facility will not only redefine community spaces but also serve as a dynamic hub for education, wellness, and recreation, empowering individuals of all ages to thrive.”

In May 2017, $19.8 million was allocated to renovating the current standing gym and natatorium. However, following assessments discovered that building a new facility would be the most cost-effective option.
