Paolo Nutini took to the stage of the OVO Hydro on Tuesday for the first of his run of tour dates in the city and didn't hold back when sharing his love of a certain woman.
The Paisley-born singer announced to the crowd that he has "a lot of love for Nicola Sturgeon" after performing his song Iron Sky. The song, which appeared on his album Caustic Love, was thought by many to be about Scottish Independence. MSP Karen Adam took to Twitter to say "Tonight at the OVO after singing Iron Sky @paolonutini says ‘just to let you know, I’ve got a lot of love for @NicolaSturgeon’. Incredible gig."
Kelly Given, star of Channel 4’s Make Me Prime Minister, also praised Paolo for his comment.
