The Senegalese striker has left Belgium to join the Dons and will hope to add Europa League firepower.
Pape Habib Gueye has sealed a move to Aberdeen with the Senegalese striker to bolster options, penning a three year deal.
The 23-year-old forward was said to have had interest from rivals Hibs but reports were shot down after he was told he was free to leave the Belgian club before the transfer window closed. Now the Dons have tied him down as he told the club's website: "I am very excited to be joining Aberdeen and I hope that I can help the team to be successful this season, both in Scotland and in Europe. Aberdeen is a fantastic club with a great history.
“He has a real presence, is quick, strong in the air and he had an impressive goalscoring record in Norway. We understand why there has been strong interest in Pape in the past and we hope we can give him the platform here at Aberdeen to kick on with his career.”
