There are plenty of fun activities for all ages to get involved with this St Patrick's Day in Northern Ireland.
The trail will animate venues throughout the city and throughout the city centre with the very best of Trad music from local musicians and musicians from across the island.Belfast TradFest will be delivering St Patrick's Music Weekend as part of our overall St Patrick’s Celebrations from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 March.
Ards Comhaltas, established in 1976, is a non-profit music organisation formed to teach, promote and foster the love of Irish traditional music, song and dance to people from all community backgrounds throughout Belfast and the North Down area.Our 2 Royal Avenue venue will transform into a hub of family friendly activity on St Patrick’s Day to support the wider programme of city centre activity.Sunday 17 March - 1.
Suitable for everyone, this green themed céilí on St. Patrick's Day is for everyone, whether you're a total newcomer to Irish dancing, or an experienced feisanna champion! Join us at Antrim Castle Gardens from 12pm to 4pm for Children’s arts and craft activities while witnessing live traditional music from Glengormley School of Traditional Music at 12.10pm and 12.50pm followed by Traditional Irish Dancing performances at 2.10pm and 3pm.The free Bank Holiday celebration will also be mirrored in Mossley Mill between 12pm and 4pm.
The are plenty of St Patrick's festivities planned for Newry City including the St Patrick's Day Parade, live music, dance, family friendly entertainment zone, ceili, crazy golf, kid's disco, climbing wall, a puppet show, and family activities at Newry and Mourne MuseumAs you set off along St. Patrick’s Way, the life and legacy of Ireland's patron saint awaits your discovery.
Watch Irish dancers, listen to traditional music and hear folklore tales this St Patrick's Day at the museum. There'll be a craft station to get involved in, demonstrations by our talented makers and traditional food and drink to taste including fresh champ cooked over the open fire. Famed for their fantastical and flamboyant carnival parades, the NWCI has stepped ‘Out of the Darkness, Into the Light’ for this year’s Spring Carnival Parade.
The one and a half kilometre walk at Slemish takes approximately one hour up and down, and it is strongly advised that suitable clothing and strong footwear is worn.Lisburn St Patrick's Day Music & Storytelling Armagh City is the “Home of St Patrick,” the place where Patrick began his mission. Most of the festival activities are based in city centre venues.
