BRITISH student Alana Cutland was reportedly fearing she’d be sent to prison for not completing a crab project in the hours before she leapt 3,500ft to her death.
Staff at the conservation project at the island's remote Anjajavy nature reserve, where the Cambridge University student was an intern, have described how the young woman’s mental health dramatically declined during her stay.reports how Alana had fraught telephone chats with her increasingly concerned parents Neil and Alison Cutland, both 63.
Cédric Martin, the general manager of the Anjajavy Le Lodge hotel, which runs the conservation project Alana, described how she was “excited” and normal when she arrived on July 16. With her health worsening and just eight days into her 42 day internship, her worried parents Neil and Alison arranged for Alana to fly home with conservation worker Ruth Johnson,
