TalkTV, owned by Ruport Murdoch, is said to have conducted the interview with the young person's mum and stepdad

The parents of the young person who was allegedly paid money for explicit images by Huw Edwards have reportedly been offered tens of thousands of pounds for a TV interview.

Mr Edwards was named by his wife as the man at the centre of the allegations on Wednesday. She revealed that her husband had been admitted to hospital due to his mental health issues following the scandal. On Monday, BBC News revealed a lawyer acting on behalf of the young person was disputing the allegations. The 20-year-old told the BBC that the claims were "rubbish" and that they had said this to The Sun prior to publication on Friday night.

The Sun has said it would be toning down its reporting on the scandal, saying it will not break further stories. However, it has now been reported TalkTV spoke to the young person's mum and stepdad for a three-part documentary series.
