Parents who tried to treat cancer-stricken son with herbal remedies instead of life-saving chemo lose court battle for custody
THE parents of a cancer-stricken boy who opted to treat him with herbs and marijuana oil instead of chemotherapy have lost their battle to regain custody of the child., now four, into state protection after concerned doctors in Florida told cops he had missed his hospital treatment.
On Monday, judge Thomas Palermo maintained that living arrangement, saying if Noah was given back to his parents he’d face “substantial risk of imminent neglect,”Remaining with his grandparents “is the only way to ensure Noah’s health, safety and well-being,” the judge said. "For those asking, we did two rounds of chemotherapy, specifically vincristine because they can get a medical court order to force you to do it anyways for a child with his diagnosis".
