PARIS is in chaos after both the Louvre and the Palace of Versailles evacuated visitors today after receiving bomb threats.This afternoon, alarms rang out through the Louvre museum and its underground shopping centre after receiving a written bomb threat.
The museum said the move was linked to the government's decision to put France on high alert after Friday'scops cordoned off the area from all sides to search the museum as tourists and other visitors were seen streaming out.The former royal palace and its sprawling gardens were emptied this afternoon while police examine the area, a police spokesperson revealed.
Meanwhile, Paris' iconic Gare de Lyon train station saw residents and tourists running out of its glass doors after reportedly being evacuated.Dominique Bernard, a literature teacher in his 40s, was brutally killed at a high school in Arras by a fanatic who also wounded three others.
