Leeds United take on promotion rivals Burnley after the international break
A new-look Burnley side will visit Elland Road a week on Saturday looking to get their promotion bid back on track. It proved a hectic summer transfer window at Turf Moor, with 21 players leaving the Lancashire outfit.
Those departures left head coach Scott Parker with limited options to choose from for their recent trip to high-flying Sunderland. He named two goalkeepers and three youngsters on the bench as the Clarets slumped to a 1-0 defeat. But Parker has questioned the timing of the window closing after major summer rebuilding job. “I don’t really understand the dynamics of the transfer window and how you leave it open three or four games into a season,” he told the Burnley Express.
