A section of University Way will be closed from Aug. 8 to Sept. 1
The City of Prince George is closing a section of University Way between Aug. 8 and Sept. 1 for the Shane Creek Bridge Deck Resurfacing project. The project, which has a budget of $1.2 million, is funded by the General Infrastructure Reinvestment Fund, and will see the old bridge deck being replaced.
During construction, the university entrance will still be accessible via Tyner Boulevard but the walking trail that runs under the bridge may be intermittently closed. Transit service will be impacted by this road closure, which requires a detour for Route 15 UNBC/Downtown.
