Across the Southland highs will be in upper 60s, low to mid 70s for the inland areas and valleys — closer to the coast temperatures will average to 62 degrees with more patchy fog until 11 a.m.Over in the deserts, expect a high of 78 degrees in Victorville, and a toasty 93 degrees for Coachella Valley.On this day in 1988, Palm Springs inaugurated its most famous mayor - singer and songwriter Sonny Bono.
