Portadown boss Niall Currie fought back tears as he celebrated a proud title success with his hometown club on Saturday.

"The bottom line was when I came back to the club the aim was to get the club back to where we belong, and I have done that. I will go and take a hard-earned break during the summer. Portadown took the lead against Dundela in the 67th minute when Ryan Mayse fired home inside the area, but a nervy finish was ensured when Jordan Jenkins levelled for the visitors 10 minutes later.Captain Gary Thompson added: "It is euphoric. It is unbelievable, so it is. It has been a long, hard slog of a season but this was the main goal. It was nervy today and we just pipped Dundela to the line.
