To further curb criminality and maintain peace and order in the communities, the Pasig City local government inaugurated a police outpost located in Jabson Street in Purok 6, Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig City on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led the turnover ceremony, along with Pasig police chief Col. Celerino Sacro Jr., Sub-Station 2 Officer-in-Charge Cpt. Richard Tomas, City Councilor Mark Gil “Volta” Delos Santos, Barangay Kalawaan Councilor Louie E. Afable, representatives from the homeowners associations , and residents of Purok 6.

He said there have been reported incidents of theft and other crimes in the area, which he has discussed with Councilor Afable.He said he believes that police presence will help lower crime incidents in Purok 6. “Kami po, ang trabaho namin sa lokal na pamahalaan ay siguraduhin na nabibigyan natin ang ating kapulisan ng mga tools o mga pangangailangan nila. Dapat kung ano ang kailangan itulong natin sa kanila, gawin po natin ,” he added.

Sotto expressed hope that his fellow public service leaders will continue to be proactive, especially in handling crime incidents in these hotspots.
