An SUV on a sidewalk got the attention of a deputy who "was conducting traffic enforcement," and when the deputy "stopped to inquire if there was an emergency," he found a man "sitting passed out in the driver's seat.
The deputy "reached into the vehicle, turned the vehicle off, and removed the keys. He was able to wake the defendant," who he reported being impaired. “ could see a plastic bottle label Gilbey's Vodka 1.75 L, 40% alcohol proof, sitting on top of the front driver seat in plain view.Another deputy took over and wrote, “I could immediately see the defendant’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy. I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. When the defendant spoke, I could hear he had a slow slurred speech and his body movements were very slow and lethargic.
“As the defendant exited his vehicle, he had to use the door for support to prevent him from falling,” she wrote.
