The flight, EZY3366, was required to divert to Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport in northern Spain after a passenger, a 67-year-old woman, reportedly suffered a suspected cardiac arrest . During the flight, three passengers, including a registered nurse and a physiotherapist, bravely attempted to revive the woman using CPR for almost 50 minutes.
Despite their best efforts, the woman tragically passed away onboard. \Witnesses recounted the scene, describing the quick actions of the flight staff who provided oxygen and a defibrillator. They also praised the composure and skill of the passengers who administered CPR, showcasing the spirit of courage and compassion in the face of a harrowing situation. Upon landing in Santiago-Rosalía de Castro, medical personnel boarded the aircraft, where they retrieved the unfortunate passenger. The remaining passengers were provided with overnight accommodations, and a new flight was arranged for them to continue their journey to Liverpool the following day. \ easyJet has confirmed the incident and expressed their deepest condolences to the woman's family.
