She had her arms raised to protect her face.
“He then pushed her, causing her to fall on to a brick wall, and proceeded to kick her repeatedly on the body. Then he was seen to throw a glass bottle in her direction.“His partner was in the foetal position on the ground. She pleaded with people not to phone the police and said she didn’t require medical attention.
“Nevertheless the police were contacted. Officers found the woman visibly upset but she did not provide them with any information.” Defence solicitor Brian Fitzpatrick said Heggie and the woman had been in a “toxic” eight-month relationship.Heggie, of Drygate, Dennistoun, is currently on a community payback order for another matter.
