Patrick Warburton surprised a group of Disney California Adventure guests, becoming their 'chief flight attendant' on the Soarin' Over California ride.
The actor, who provides the pre-recorded safety instructions for the attraction, became one lucky group's chief flight attendant for the day.with over five years of experience covering the latest in entertainment.
After making sure that “no one here has a fear of flying or heights,” Warburton welcomed passengers onto the ride. At one point, he pointed out a guest’s colorful Mickey Mouse ears before asking, “You know where to stow those little beauties?” A true"safety first" king, Warburton then confirmed that everyone “pulled their yellow strap for their safety belts” before dropping a, Warburton remarked that it’s “just magical to see how beloved Soarin’ Over California still is after all of these years.”
“I can remember my first trip to Disneyland at the age of 5, and I continue to be a huge Disney fan, so to be part of a Disney attraction that has lasted this long has just been such a sweet and wonderful thing for me,” he said. “Getting to surprise guests today was super fun, and it’s great to see the impact that this safety intro has made for the past 23 years and how people still love it.
The ride has returned for a limited time as part of Disney California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival, and will continue to fly guests around several scenic California landmarks until April 22.
