Rapid to add Black Hills assets to Midwest project
There's a shuffling of assets taking place in the US, with Patriot Lithium selling its foundational projects in South Dakota to Rapid Lithium.Rapid, known until yesterday as Armada Metals, was focused on nickel and copper in Africa until its recent all-scrip acquisition of Midwest Lithium. Patriot, which listed two years back off its US lithium assets, has recently shifted its focus to look at copper assets in Africa.
Against that backdrop, Rapid has struck a deal to add Patriot's Black Hills projects to those it has acquired through Midwest. The Midwest assets cover 93sq.km and are grouped into five sub-projects: Keystone, Hill City, Phelps, Tin Mountain and Scott's Rose. The include the previously worked Ingersoll and Mateen lithium mines and the Old Mike tantalum-mica open pit.
