'I know for a fact he was still smoking last week. What a wonderful way to go — peacefully in your sleep.'
Paul O'Grady reportedly 'didn't listen' to medics' concerns over his health prior to his death, a friend claimed.
Christopher Biggins, a close friend of Paul's, has now opened up about their fourty-year-long friendship and has discussed the telly star's health concerns. Christopher highlighted that Paul was "like a tennager as far as his health was concerned - he didn't listen", the Mirror reports. Speaking to The Sun, Christopher spoke of when he and Paul were staying with their friend Cilla Black in Spain 15 years ago. At the time, Paul "had his hear problems already" and was warned by doctors to not drink or smoke.
"She told me to go upstairs and tell him to stop."I felt like the matron from the Carry On films when I went into his bedroom and said: ‘Paul, you’re smoking.’ He looked at me and said: ‘No I’m not.'
