Paul O'Grady's heartbroken daughter Sharyn Mousley arrived to his funeral on Thursday with her son, who carried the late star's iconic Lily Savage wig, in emotional scenes
Paul O'Grady's heartbroken daughter Sharyn Mousley arrived to his funeral on Thursday with her son, who carried the late TV star's iconic Lily Savage wig, in emotional scenes.
The mum of two had earlier left a heartbreaking note outside the church, where dozens of personal tributes had been attached to wreaths of lilies ahead of Paul's private funeral service. The late TV star's husband Andre, 41, invited fans of Paul to attend the funeral, as he announced: "While the funeral will be a private ceremony, as many of you know, Paul cared a lot about his local community."
The funeral saw dogs from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home serving as guards of honour throughout the service and featured a performance by the Salvation Army Band, who played songs such as Tomorrow from the musical Annie – in which Paul was starring in a touring production at the time of his death.
