Shortly after it was confirmed Kit is Bernie Winter’s long-lost son, we learnt he had absolutely no intention of reconnecting with her due to the hurt he felt surrounding being put up for adoption.
Gathering the family together, Paul explained to them via his Eyegaze machine that he needs everyone – including Kit – to start getting along because he’s dying and doesn’t want them fighting during the last period of his life. Kit panics Kit hasn’t really reconnected with Bernie since he arrived in Weatherfield It was enough for Bernie and Gemma Winter to hug and put their troubles in the past but for Kit, while he agreed, he couldn’t quite manage the family embrace just yet.
