This simple – and cheap – way to remove patio stains uses household items you've probably already got in your kitchen
Now the warmer weather’s here, many of us are spending longer outside. But more time outside means more time to make a mess – especially if you’ve got kids. Spilt bubble mixture, dropped food and drinks, bike oil, rust and other random stains can all leave your patio looking past its best. But there is a simple way to remove them – and you don’t need a jet washer or any fancy products.Georgina Read, director at Paving Superstore, told The Express that there are easy ways to banish stains.
‘If you spill something on your patio, the key is to act quickly and clean it before it has a chance to set in,’ she said. ‘You can use a power washer, but it’s often better to target the stain directly to avoid damaging the paving joints with the power of the jet wash.’ She advised people to use good old washing-up liquid and baking soda to remove grease and oil stains. A method she said will cost less than 60p. Bargain.
