Terry Brazier went in for a bladder procedure and came out with a circumcision in a medical blunder
A patient has received a payout of £20,000 after he was given the wrong procedure at an NHS hospital.But his notes somehow got mixed up and he ended up getting a circumcision instead, which he described as a ‘real surprise’. He sat chatting to staff during the procedure and did not realise they were performing the wrong procedure until it was too late.Terry was handed a £20,000 payout following the mistake at the Leicester Royal Infirmary ‘They didn’t know what to say when they found out they’d done it, they said they can’t send me back to the ward and they needed to talk to me.‘The nurse was at the side of me and we were talking so I didn’t know what was going on. It was a real surprise.
