Robles categorically denied the report, stating there was no breach in any official sites or databases. He explained that while there were numerous attempts to hack their system, their digital defenses remained strong. Robles clarified that an online news report claiming a data breach was fabricated by a group of hackers trying to gain notoriety. He emphasized that the information published by the hackers referred to recipients of a promotional campaign in Cagayan in March 2022, not lotto winners.

Robles continued: “Relax, today is Valentine’s Day and don’t let it be ruined by some groups out to besmirch or cast doubt on the integrity of our games. It’s too early for April Fool’s Day and let us not easily fall for it.” Robles noted that the news report came from an alleged group of hackers who were obviously attempting to make a name for themselves, by claiming that they were able to breach the PCSO system.
