One plant expert has revealed a simple kitchen staple that has your peace lilies 'exploding in bloom' - and it's not banana peel.
A plant expert has shared an 89p kitchen essential that is perfect for making your peace lilies bloom brighter than ever before.
Rice is rich in many different nutrients that are great for the plant - including phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, zinc, iron and sulphur, reports the Express. Then, the expert removed the peace lily from the container, propagated it and reported the plant with a potting mix consisting of perlite, coir, soil, rice husks and fertiliser.
The expert continued to water the peace lily with rice flour and even used it in a spray bottle to spritz the top of the plant.
