) - According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, March 10, has claimed the life of a Bayou La Batre woman.
The pedestrian, Dessiree S. Hovel, 42, was fatally injured when the 2006 Lexus RX400H driven by Daniel S. Taylor, 85, of Irvington left the roadway and stuck Hovel. Hovel was pronounced deceased at the scene.Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate and no further information was given.
