Police cordoned off Central Drive, near Belmont Avenue, after the collision at around 4.48pm on Sunday . Pictures from the scene shared by Blackpool 999s showed number of police and North West Ambulance Service vehicles on the main road.
The collision happened near a zebra crossing and the road was closed for several hours for investigation works. Lancashire Constabulary said it was classed as a 'minor injury collision' and no arrests have been reported.In a statement, a force spokeserson said: "This was a minor injury collision between a car and a pedestrian. We were called at around 4:48pm." The force confirmed to LancsLive that the vehicle involved was a taxi.
