A pedestrian was struck by a bus near Glasgow Fort shopping centre on Tuesday afternoon, September 24th, resulting in their hospitalization. Emergency services responded to the scene on Auchinlea Road where they provided medical aid to the injured individual before transporting them to hospital.
Emergency services raced to the scene at around 2pm today, September 24, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Auchinlea Road in Glasgow - near Glasgow Fort.
Police Scotland did not confirm whether or not the vehicle involved was a bus however, an eye-witness told Glasgow Live that a 'woman was hit by a First Bus', with images from the scene showing ambulance crews attend to the pedestrian next to a double-decker vehicle. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Tuesday, 24 September, 2024 we were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Auchinlea Road in Glasgow."The road fully reopened around 3.30pm and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.
