Police have launched a probe after the car came off the road at Westmuir Street in Parkhead at around 9pm on Friday.

Pedestrians had to leap to avoid a car driving along a pavement in Glasgow before the vehicle was later left abandoned nearby.

An eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said: "I was in the bookies and saw it. We heard a bang and went out to see what was happening. "They recovered the car in Dalmarnock and the street was condoned off. Police, ambulance and fire brigade were all there."
